Boxajoy began with a simple act of service. Founder Delarno Wilson did not originally set out to start a nonprofit. While serving on active duty in the U.S. Coast Guard, he received donated care packages through his Chief’s Mess and began handing them directly to people he saw in need on his drive home.
The response was immediate and unforgettable. What looked like a small gesture created real relief, dignity, and joy. That moment became the foundation for Boxajoy.
What started with a few care packages grew into a veteran-founded, community-powered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Today, Boxajoy delivers food and essential supplies, provides street-based outreach, and offers housing stabilization support across three states.
